He uses three criteria to detect the presence of a vertebral misalignment in the spine. The three criteria are visualization, palpation and x-ray analysis. The Gonstead adjustment is a very specific adjustment applied to the spine which takes many years to master and learn. He also uses activator, diversified and drop work when necessary.
